Ewan Walton - Artist

Remotest Dartmoor, during a run from Haytor to Lydford and back.

Welcome to my website! I live and work in Newton Abbot, half way between the sea and Dartmoor in South Devon. I am a versatile artist, working mainly on commission and selling work at exhibitions. I lead drawing and painting workshops and provide painting demonstrations for art groups and societies. Spring 2018 saw the completion of my first pub sign for The Old Church House Inn, Torbryan.

I designed the 2014 Glastonbury Festival bag and my drawing 'Havana' was awarded 'best work on paper' at the South West Academy annual open exhibition in November 2017. In 2018 I had the great privilege of taking part in Danny Boyle's 'Pages of the Sea' project to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. I have also painted sculptures for both stagings of the legendary 'Moor Otters' trail on Dartmoor.

June 2020 saw the publication of the book 'Noticing Newton Abbot' by Tess Walker, which features some of my architectural drawings.
